Shade

Shade is the story of a boy and his beast who become connected through the power they share called “melding”, and are thrust into a centuries old conflict after a chance meeting in a mirror of our world known as “The Vestige”. Their journey will take them down a path of changes so great that everything they know will be put into question. First volume to be published in 2024.

Loving “U” Is Complicated, But “I” Love Myself.

This is my first short film & that college project I couldn’t let go of. Inspired by Arthur Jafa's work, like Jay Z’s “4:44” and “Love is the Message, The Message is Death”, I tried my hand at creating a similar montage. I've always thought of Kendrick Lamar’s “U” and “I” as two sides of the same coin, so I merged them into one piece—using “U” for the "white voice" and “I” for the "black voice" as well as sections “Blood” to tie everything together in the intro and outro.
